Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Welcome to the minty.tools FAQ! Here youβll find answers to the most common questions artists ask before minting their first NFT with us.
β What is minty.tools?
minty.tools is a no-code NFT minting platform that helps artists, photographers, and musicians turn their creative work into NFTs β fast, simple, and with full control. You can mint either unique 1-of-1 NFTs or create a collection of identical editions.
π¨ What kind of NFTs can I mint?
You can choose from:
- 1-of-1 NFTs: A single, unique NFT for one collector only.
- Collection NFTs: Multiple identical copies of the same NFT, ideal for fans or limited releases.
π° How much does it cost to mint an NFT?
minty.tools charges a flat $5 minting fee, priced dynamically in ETH at the time of minting.
Youβll also need to cover the Ethereum gas fee, which varies based on network traffic β usually a few dollars.
There are no hidden fees. We do not take a cut from your sale.
π§Ύ Who gets the royalties from resales?
You do.
When your NFT is resold on supported marketplaces, you (the artist) will automatically receive a 5% royalty on every secondary sale. This is encoded directly into the smart contract.
minty.tools takes 0% of your resale royalties.
π Do I keep ownership of my artwork?
Yes β always. You maintain full ownership and copyright of your work. Your wallet is the creator of the NFT. minty.tools simply helps you mint and distribute it.
𧱠What blockchain do you use?
We currently mint on the Ethereum blockchain. It offers wide marketplace support and strong permanence.
Support for other networks (e.g. Polygon) may be added in the future.
π» Do I need to know how to code?
Nope. minty.tools is designed for non-technical creators. Just connect your MetaMask wallet, upload your image, and follow a few simple steps.
πΌοΈ What kind of artwork can I upload?
We accept standard image formats such as:
.jpg
,.png
,.gif
,.webp
Your file should be:
- Under 10MB
- Around 1000x1000px recommended for fast loading and clarity
- Your original creation, with all rights owned by you
π Where is my NFT stored?
Your NFT metadata and artwork are stored using IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) for decentralized and durable storage. We cover the initial pinning, and we recommend creators also set up their own pinning service for long-term permanence.
π Can I view the smart contract?
Yes! We believe in transparency. You can view our smart contract on GitHub and on Etherscan.
π§ Iβm new to NFTs. Can someone help me?
Absolutely. Our platform is designed for beginners. You can also check out our Getting Started page or contact us directly at support@minty.tools.
